This is the only keyboard I know that has this light attachment. Like most of what the other reviewers said the coverage of the light illuminating the keys are only limited and mainly only illuminates the center portion. Got this a year or 2 years ago. A for originality, but D for functionality. Maybe Razer should have designed a WIDE ANGLE light then this would have probably been more useful. Or maybe they could have made the lamplight longer but of course this would only magnify its presence as an unnecessary CLUTTER. It looks rather dumb and primitive since if its real purpose was to make it easier to see the keys then I suggest that you buy an illuminated keyboard like the Saitek II Eclipse or the Logitech G19(if you can afford it). Built in keyboard lights seem more logical and leaves the keyboard CLUTTER-FREE.
There really is no reason to buy this. It only lights the middle of the keyboard, it glares (so you can't see what your typing anyway, and its distracting while gaming. If you want a lit up keyboard get one with illuminated keys. This is just eye candy, to make you throw away $20.
toke it apart. arrive with one LED out.
keyboards are very good. I love their mice.
in my case. this is one terrible product.
worthless.lights somewhat the cenbter of the keyboard. tried to fix it.
trashed it.
There was a delay in the production of the Razer BattleLight, it wasn't originally available when the Tarantula Keyboard came out (although the battlelight was included in all the promotional photos for the keyboard). The light isn't bright enough to fully illuminate the keyboard but it's OK for secondary lighting in a dim (not dark) room.
My main complaint is now that I have had this light for a month or so, the switch no longer operates. I really thought the light was going to be cool since I prefer to game in the dark. When I first plugged the light in and turned it on, I was thinking that I wasted my money as it only illuminated a small part of the keyboard and was really distracting given the design. If I push in the button, it will illuminate, but will not stay on when released.Buyer beware on this one, in my humble opinion. Your mileage may vary.
